This Privacy Policy explains how Playground Pal collects, uses, and stores information when you use the app.

Overview
Playground Pal helps users import Swift Playgrounds projects, review code, and optionally use AI-powered assistance. The app does not require account creation to use its core features.
Information you provide
You may provide Swift Playgrounds project files, code snippets, prompts, and API keys used to enable AI features. API keys are stored on-device using the system keychain.
How information is used
Playground Pal uses your project files and prompts to provide code analysis, tutoring, and AI-assisted responses inside the app. Recent playground metadata and related local state may also be stored on-device to support reopening projects and continuing your workflow.
AI providers
When you use AI features, relevant code, prompts, and related context may be transmitted to third-party AI providers selected or configured in the app, including Anthropic or OpenRouter-backed models. Their handling of data is governed by their own policies and terms.
Camera and notifications
The app may request camera access to scan QR codes for API key setup. The app may also request notification permission to alert you when imported playground content is ready to open. These permissions are optional and can be managed in system settings.
Data storage
Project data, recent file references, bookmarks, and editing state may be stored locally on your device or in your iCloud-enabled Apple storage environment when you choose to export or sync files. Playground Pal does not use in-app advertising or third-party tracking SDKs.
Children's privacy
Playground Pal is intended for general audiences, including learners and students. Parents, guardians, and educators should supervise the use of AI features when appropriate.
Policy updates
This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. Continued use of the app after changes are published indicates acceptance of the updated policy.
